The Attorney General of the State of San Luis Potosi, Jose Luis Ruiz Contreras, informed that an investigation folder was opened for the recording circulating in the media, where the municipal president of Matehuala is apparently involved with members of a criminal group.

“That is what we are going to determine, where the audio comes from, we have to carry out a voice analysis, If it’s really his, and carry out the corresponding tests; there are technologies that will allow us to clarify this type of evidence,” he explained.

Ruiz Contreras also emphasized that the recordings are being analyzed, and that it will be the development of the investigation file that will determine the steps to follow.

In this sense, he commented that these investigations will be the ones that will establish if the mayor of Matehuala will be submitted to the judicial authority as the probable responsible of a criminal act or a possible witness.

The head of the justice agency, recalled that the mayor of the Altiplano Zone already had another investigation file, after he probably participated in an incident where immigrants were affected by the organized crime.

El Fiscal General del Estado de San Luis Potosí, José Luis Ruiz Contreras, informó que se abrió una carpeta de investigación por la grabación que circula en medios de comunicación, donde al parecer se involucra al presidente municipal de Matehuala con miembros de un grupo criminal.

“Es lo que vamos a determinar, de dónde proviene el audio, tenemos que realizar un análisis de voz, si efectivamente es la de él, y realizar las pruebas correspondientes; hay tecnologías que nos van a permitir esclarecer ese tipo de indicios”, explicó.

Ruiz Contreras también resaltó que se están analizando dichas grabaciones, y que será el desarrollo de la carpeta de investigación la que irá determinando los pasos a seguir.

En tal sentido, comentó que serán esas indagaciones las que establecerán si el alcalde de Matehuala se presentará ante la autoridad judicial como probable responsable de un hecho delictivo o un posible testigo.

El titular del ente de procuración de justicia, recordó que el edil de la Zona Altiplano, ya contaba con otra carpeta de investigación, luego que también habría participado en un incidente donde se vieron afectados varios inmigrantes por el crimen organizado.
