FISCALÍA DE DERECHOS HUMANOS PARTICIPA EN CÁTEDRAS SOBRE EL COMBATE A LA TRATA DE PERSONAS

• El curso fue impartido en la ciudad de Monterrey, Nuevo León

Personal de la Fiscalía General del Estado de San Luis Potosí (FGESLP) asistió a capacitación en temas de trata de personas, impartida por el consulado de Estados Unidos en la ciudad de Monterrey, en Nuevo León.

El tema: “Intercambio de mejores prácticas en la investigación de delitos de tráfico y trata de personas”, fue expuesto por la Oficina de Investigaciones del Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (HSI) e INL México, tras unir apoyos con instituciones del gobierno mexicano y de procuración de justicia.

La finalidad de esta colaboración es que los participantes reciban testimonios, métodos y estrategias para realizar mejor su trabajo.

Ello les ayudará a que se realicen investigaciones más efectivas, y mejor procesamiento de los delitos de tráfico y trata de personas, así como los delitos trasnacionales relacionados a estos temas.

Por parte de la FGESLP, estuvo presente el titular de la Unidad de Combate a los delitos de Trata de Personas, Esteban Pérez Mendieta, y Luz María Montes Mariano, titular de la Unidad para la Atención de Personas Desaparecidas y Extraviadas de la Fiscalía Especializada en Materia de Derechos Humanos.

Ambos funcionarios de la Fiscalía aportaron al seminario casos relevantes que se han logrado en cuanto al tema de tráfico y trata de personas, en agravio de migrantes y ciudadanía de la entidad potosina.

HUMAN RIGHTS PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE PARTICIPATES IN COURSES ABOUT COMBATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING

• The course was given in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

Personnel from the Attorney General’s Office of the State of San Luis Potosi (FGESLP) attended training on human trafficking issues, given by the U.S. Consulate in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

The topic was: “Exchange of best practices in the investigation of human trafficking and human smuggling crimes”, was presented by the Office of Investigations of the Department of Homeland Security (HSI) and INL Mexico, after joining forces with Mexican government institutions and law enforcement.

The purpose of this collaboration is for the participants to receive testimonies, methods and strategies to improve their work.

This will help them to carry out more effective investigations and better prosecution of human smuggling and trafficking crimes, as well as transnational crimes related to these issues.

For their part of the FGESLP, the head of the Unit for Combating Human Trafficking, Esteban Perez Mendieta, and Luz Maria Montes Mariano, head of the Unit for the Attention of Missing and Missing Persons of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Human Rights, were present.

Both officials of the Prosecutor’s Office contributed to the seminar with relevant cases that have been achieved in terms of human smuggling and human trafficking, to the detriment of the migrants and citizens of San Luis Potosi.
